Metaverse for the Python and Blockchain Conference Afterparty

PyChain is the first-ever blockchain conference for the Python language ecosystem and related software development technologies.

The conference was held on Nov 15, 2022, and brought together a variety of notable speakers who gave presentations on tokens and bitcoins, blockchain and Web 3, APIs, AIs, and much more.

After the day’s in-depth presentations by 30 speakers giving their assessments of the market and technological trends, the guests were highly anticipating the afterparty.

The Challenge

The key objective for the Party.Space team was to create a virtual environment where guests could freely communicate and discuss the conference’s developments.

The metaverse had to provide easy access to group discussions and one-on-one communications. But the biggest challenge was to create an informal atmosphere that would be as immersive as a casual get-together.

The Solution

Party.Space team organized a virtual rooftop party to accommodate the needs of the guests:

  • we created a scene where the hosts could announce the entrance of each guest before making their speeches for the evening.
  • guests could move to the lounge area with a virtual bar, where groups of several people could chat privately with each other or in small groups.
  • the space’s design aligned with the company’s core values while giving appropriate exposure to the conference’s sponsors.

The Result

The metaverse, created by Party.Space, served as an excellent afterparty to cap off the day’s events. Conference participants could relax after a crazy day and celebrate the culmination of a fantastic event together.

More than 50 guests chatted, exchanged reactions, asked questions in the general chat, and just had fun.

Party.Space’s virtual spaces have again shown that they can adapt to any event and mood to become an irreplaceable assistant in achieving desired outcomes.

An afterparty is one of the most effective ways to increase the level of networking at a social event. It’s a chance for speakers to get acquainted and discuss issues that need more time outside of the conference’s regulations or that are not directly related to the topic of the reports.
